We regularly build pools of all shapes and sizes, including varying depths, depending on our customers’ unique needs and preferences.
With this in mind, we always keep an eye on industry innovations and have compiled a list of the top five deepest pools in the world.
1. Deep Dive, Dubai
In 2021 the United Arab Emirates unveiled the world’s deepest pool in Dubai. Offering a unique indoor scuba diving experience, Deep Dive has a range of areas, with the jewel in its crown being the post-apocalyptic ‘sunken city’.
Here, guests can swim through an ‘abandoned city’ to explore a truly unique diving experience. Plus, there is even an underwater film studio and editing suite.
- Depth: 60m (197ft)
- Amount of water: 14 million litres
- Fun fact: The pool includes a hyperbaric chamber that has been used by Hollywood star Will Smith.
2. Y-40 The Deep Joy, Italy
Previously home to the world’s deepest pool for six years, the Y-40 Deep Joy is located in the Italian hotel Terme Millepini.
As well as providing a place for divers to train, the pool has also been used in numerous film productions. It also features a transparent walkway where guests can get a glimpse of the sheer depth that Y-40 offers.

The deepest pool in Asia can be found just an hour’s drive away from Seoul at the K-26 facility in Gapyeong. With various platforms at different depths, this facility is regularly used by freedivers looking to improve their efforts. Plus, there are dedicated air chamber caves for those looking to practice buoyancy.

4. Divecube Hotel, Taiwan
Based in the heart of the city of Taichung, Divecube Hotel was created by the same people who brought us Y-40 in Italy. A research center that also offers courses on water rescue, this is an educational facility as well as a unique diving experience.
